I was so excited when I received a lovely little email from Rach last week. She told me about a project she had been working on for a little while and I was thrilled that she wanted me to be involved with it’s launch. :) Her aim was to create affordable, original T-shirt designs and she has done just that! As you can see she sent me The Beatles T-shirt, which I love! You can see her other designs here. Each T-shirt is priced at £7.50 + £2.50 postage, which I think is pretty damn reasonable, especially if you compare it with Topshop and other high street prices! I think all of the Tees are ‘boyfriend fit’ and she makes all the different designs in an array of sizes too!

All I can say is…the T-shirt is fab and is deffo going to be a staple summer piece. It has such a lovely vintagy look to it and I love how well it goes with my new Primark shorts! :) I actually wore it with my grey chinos and leather jacket the other day too and I think it looked pretty sweet, I just didn’t have time to take pictures :( I’m sure I will be wearing it again soon though so keep your eyes peeled. ;)

I feel so privileged to be asked to be a part of her new project. Rach and I basically started up YouTubing and blogging at the same time, it’s been great to know someone right from the start of this internet experience. :) So If you haven’t already, go and check out her blog & her big cartel shop. :) Let me know if you like/buy anything! :)

Holy Moley, ,that’s a lorra lorra nail varnish! :O Sorry I’m posting this a little later than usual this week :S I have just not had much time to paint my nails this week. :( I knew as soon as I saw the front of this magazine that I wanted to paint my nails just like it! I got it free when I bought my Melissa shoes earlier this week. I may do a post on them because I have loved them for like, EVER, and now I finally have a pair courtesy of a birthday return ;)

This design reminds me of ‘my little ponies’ :) I love them (I just had to add a sneaky little picture of my my little pony Purple Rain, I didn’t name her, my friend at my old job did, he likes Prince ALOT! lolz ;))

Anyways, I used the exact same technique as I did with the cosmic nails last week and I think they have turned out pretty well. :) Again though, they haven’t photographed as well as they look IRL but hey, you get the gist. ;)

I am finally beginning to get a jog on with painting these nail sets too! So, once I have sorted my PayPal out, RAWWWR!!!, I will be putting them up for sale. :) I may even do a cheeky giveaway! ;)

So it was the studded shorts first outing today! ;) I just couldn’t wait to wear them! I got some lovely compliments from people at work too. :’) My only problem was that whenever I served any customers on the till, they kept getting stuck to the magnet that you take electronic tags off with! :O It was so strong, it even took out a stud or two. :S Oh well, at least it gave people a bit of a giggle! ;)

Your probably getting sick of seeing these bloody jersey shirts now too. Sorry. :O I wasn’t sure about keeping this one, basically because I have the black and cream too, but Rach managed to persuade me ;) They really are just so easy to wear though! Such a great price and like I have said before, I love the gold button detailing so, so much! :) I can easily say that I would buy more, in other colours obvs, but I actually would! They are just such a great basic! :) New Look, you done good! ;)

DIY studded denim shorts…

 

So the first picture is from ‘super super’ magazine & it’s basically what inspired me to want to ‘stud’ something! It’s quite an old issue bit if you have never read ‘super super’ before, you should totally check it out! its full of fashion, beauty, music, trends, just  a general mish mash of awesome really. :) I have been finding it hard to track down recently though. I used to buy it from Boarders when it still existed however I now have to hope I can find it in WHSmiths. (I haven’t seen it in a while though :’() But seriously, it’s a great read and awesome for inspiration! Anyway blah, blah, blah… I think I have rambled enough. ;)

I chose triangle studs over square because I have a bit of a ‘thing’ for triangles at the moment. lol. I don’t know, I just thought it would be a bit different and I really like how they ended up looking. :) It absolutely killed my fingers putting all the studs on but it was worth it! :) I was a bit wary of ruining my new(ish) Topshop shorts but I am so glad I took the plunge! I am deffo going to be buying more studs soon and go crazy on the rest of my wardrobe! ;)

I was so excited to try out ‘galaxy’ nails. I think they turned out OK. :/ They aren’t my most favourite nail design ever but, I suppose it was fun to try out a new technique. I basically just sponged colours on top of each other to make a cloudy, space like effect then added the glitter polish to look like stars. :S THEYWERESOHARDTOPHOTOGRAPH!!! :/ They look better IRL, promise. ;)

All in all, I like them but they are just alot darker than the nail colours I normally like to wear. I don’t know, I think I just miss last weeks neon green nails. Back to brights next week I think! ;)

So I am even more in love with the shorts than I was the other day, if that is possible? :O I seriously couldn’t be more happy with how they have turned out. I am definitely inspired to do more DIY stuff so watch this space! :) Oh and talking about DIY, I finally ordered some studs off eBay, after being persuaded by Beth. (Thank you Beth :)) So brace yourselves for a denim&stud DIY sometime soon! :)

Yeah, so I this is another one of the NL, Topshop esque, jersey shirts and again, I really like it! They really are SO easy to wear! :) Knowing me, I’ll probs wear the peach one Tomorrow. ;)

This is what I wore yesterday. Quite a simple outfit really, I don’t know why I didn’t wear any accessories really, probs just laziness on my part ;) I’ve had my eyes on these cigarette trousers at work for a while now. I originally wanted to get the dark brown ones, then the coral ones but I settled for the silver/grey ones purely because I thought they would go with more and they are light enough to wear in summer too! ;) I also don’t know why I didn’t buy this top sooner! It’s been in store for months now and I only decided I really wanted to buy it this week. :O I have been lusting over the Topshop ones for ages and I still need the blue and white striped one ;) I really do love this one though. It’s just so simple and easy to wear! :) I actually bought it in a kind of peachy colour and cream one too but I’m not sure, I don’t know, I suppose it will be good for summer.

If you follow me on twitter, you will probably already know that the nail sets came in the post yesterday and I have been having so much fun painting them! I’m just deciding which nail designs to start off with so let me know what kind of designs you want to see so I can put a good starting collection together. :) I can’t wait to show you guys! :)

DIY- scallop shorts…

 

Inspired by Morven <3

As soon as I set eyes on the Topshop version of these in the S/S lookbook, I felt I needed them in my life. I just couldn’t quite justify £30 for another pair of shorts. I was so inspired by Morven’s handy work, that I just had to have a go myself!

It’s been quite a while since I have done any clothes adjustments. I am ashamed to say my sewing machine has been living in the garage for the best part of a year. :( I have been meaning to get back into doing it so I thought that this would ease me into it again. :)

I started of by bleaching the shit out of my Zara 3/4 shorts (and my hand! I am still suffering :S remember to use protection people!!! ;)) I quite like the colour I ended up with but I need to touch it up in some areas, maybe when my hand is over it’s trauma. ;)

After they had dried, I basically just cut the scallop shapes at the length I wanted the shorts! Easy peas! I LOVE how they have turned out! I’m even quite excited to see what they end up looking like once they have frayed a little. :O

Right, I’ll stop rambling about them now, I’m sure you will be seeing these bad boys in an outfit post sometime soon! ;)

What's on my monster nails #9...

Neon green: Barry M, acid yellow

I have been after the perfect lime green nail varnish for what seems like a lifetime, without success. That is until I stumbled across this loooovely colour on the Barry M stand in Boots last week! I know it's called 'acid yellow' and I guess that it is almost flourecent yellow but it is relly more of a green colour. I have been dying to use it and I love the colour SO much that I didnt really want to do any nail art that was too complicated over the top of it as I wanted it to be really 'inyourfacegreen'. I think I have sucseeded! ;) This is the first time I have ever tried 'gradient' nails and tbh, I think it looks pretty sweeeet. I just think the grteen and the glitter go together pretty well. ;)

I REALLY REALLY REALLY like my nails this week. It's going to be hard not to paint them the same next week! I promise I wont ;)

Oh, and sorry about the gif ;) I have been seeing them around more and more recently and I have jumped on on the band waggon lol. I couldn't help myself.

Wonder Woman 'pink power' MSF...

MAC Wonder Woman MSF: 'pink power'

I was never intending on buying anything from the Wonder Woman collection tbh. I wasn't that impressed with how the products looked at first. There was a massive hype around it all and I was excited to see it but from the pictures on the website, I wasn't impressed. :S HOWEVER. When I was out shopping in Chester last week I couldn't resist a little sneak peak of the collection. It was an OMGIHAVETOHAVEIT moment. I fell.in.love. I love that the bronzer colour isn't too dark, or orange, and its matte! And the highlight colours are awesome. They aren't too gold or too pink. They are really subtle with a lovely shimmer. I am so impressed with this product. I would seriously recommend it if you are looking for a subtle bronzer and maybe a sheer blush/highlighter. It is THE perfect three in one product and I have to say, I have used it every day since I bought it. I can't get enough! :O

OMG! It feels like a lifetime since I’ve blogged properly. I’ve had a busy week so haven’t been able to blog as much as I would have liked, and probably wont be able to get back in to the swing of regular blogging until next week :/ POOPIES! I've been trying my best to keep my blog updated with outfits and nails and I filmed a couple of videos for YT last week too. ;)

I can’t remember if I told you but my tripod came! :) it gives me so much more freedom  to where I can take outfit photos. As you can see, I have taken my past two sets of outfit photos in my bedroom rather than the bathroom. I know my room is messy, but hey, that’s just the way it is. ;) It is also deeming to be a very helpful tool for making nail tutorial videos! :) By the way, thank you for all your feedback on my first nail tutorial video. I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out, but in the end, apart from the light being TOTALLY shoddy, it went pretty smoothly, I think. If you haven’t seen it already it would be great to know what you think of it. ;)

I once again wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to you all! My blog hit 500 followers this week and I am SO happy! :) Seriously, you guys make me so happy and make me feel so privileged to be part of the blogging community.
